Okay people. We’re a month in to 2016. Time moves at a very rapid pace. The question: What have you done to aid in the facilitation of your New Year’s resolution marketing goals? We hope you’re well on your way to bringing those goals to fruition. If you’re still wrapping your mind around the next 11 months, here are 16 thoughts/ideas to get the visual side of your content marketing up to snuff in 2016.

Content is king. That cannot be disputed. It’s important to carefully, strategically, and religiously be updating your organization’s content regularly. Have a content creation calendar. Fresh content helps with many things, from SEO, to user engagement, to customer loyalty. Within that content, you MUST be considering how it’s presented. The easiest and most proven solution? Graphics. You know, illustrations, photos, video, animated gifs, infographics… things of that nature. People respond to imagery. While words are important, images help pull people in to the messages your spinning.

1. Supporting colored visual graphics are proven to greatly increase an individual’s willingness to read a piece of content by 80%.

2. When a person hears a piece of information, they typically retain only 10% of that particular message a mere three days after initial consumption. 10. Not yet sold on mobile marketing? Here you go: In Quarter two of 2015, mobile phones (34%) and personal tablets (15%) combined for 49% of video ad impressions. That’s up from 38% in Quarter one of the very same year. How does that compare to the good ‘ol personal computer?
