As summer winds down, we want to take a moment to look back the last five years. It’s true, we’ve reached a half-decade here at Boldwerks. Like any business, the first five years have been trying at times, but, in large part, we’ve celebrated our successes rather than get caught up in the natural growing pains of any small business. In short, we’re excited to be five years into our quest as one of the premier creative marketing agencies in existence.

We’ve been in Portsmouth for four years now, moving from Lee – our original location. Our goal was to move to Portsmouth a year after establishment, and the goal was met. Portsmouth is the spot! We love the lively atmosphere that surrounds this city, we love the access it offers our company, and our clients. It’s the culture that really makes us thrive, whether it’s the physical location, or the inner makeup of a business. Culture is important to us. Our new office is a creative hub – an inspired lab that welcomes free-thinking, and much vinyl spinning. Stimulation and encouragement abound here at the Boldwerks HQ, and it shows in the work we produce.

Making a splash in today’s world requires bold thinking, bold creative, and bold action. That’s why we started Boldwerks, and we’ll continue to offer just that as we move forward.

Here’s what we’ve learned:

  • Team: The most important asset we possess – headed by our founders Adam Kaufmann and Matthias Roberge. If you invest in your team, and give them the space they need to prosper, good things will come. As we look ahead at the next five years, we’re excited to see how the team grows, and how our service offerings as one of the most dynamic creative marketing agencies – locally and beyond – continues to expand and strengthen.
  • Variety: We pride ourselves on the array of clients we represent and work for. Variety is important. It keeps things interesting and engaging, and boy does it make the day go by fast. Variety also enables you to continually be learning. If you’re not continually learning, if you’re stagnant and not able to move and shake with the constant flux of today’s business and technological landscape, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
  • Creative: Creative is king. Creative is currency. Creative is what keeps us going day in and day out. It’s the engine that fuels our pipeline, and contributes to our clients’ success. We pride ourselves on our creative tendencies, and, which, as mentioned, are derived from the setting we have set up for ourselves here in Portsmouth. Creative, free-thinking professionals – that’s who we are. We wouldn’t change that for anything.
  • Validation: We’re humble at heart, but boy does validation feel good. Over the span of the last five years we’ve developed into a creative shop that we hear about in our travels. The fact that people know who we are shows that what we’re doing is making an impact, and reaching an expansive audience. Being  humble is good. But being able to recognize that recognition isn’t a bad thing – that’s important too. We’re happy to be serving all of our clients, and are excited to serve those that we haven’t yet had the opportunity to work with yet. Here’s to all of you! You’re an important piece in getting us to our fifth anniversary!

As we enter into the second half of our first decade of existence, we're looking forward to furthering the expansion of our team, our clients – past present, and future – and our company both locally, and abroad.

Thank you to everyone that has been a part of making these first five years so fruitful, fun, adventurous, and bold
